Il sistema dei colori per fermare la pandemia da Covid-19 in Italia “è un sistema che è stato deciso e approvato, e viene applicato in maniera fiscale. Ma la garanzia veramente di uscirne in maniera decisa è riuscire a vaccinare molto e bene. Cosa che inizialmente non si è fatta, che attualmente si fa molto meglio, ma che non è stata aiutata da quel dramma-sceneggiata a fosche tinte sulla questione AstraZeneca. Se vacciniamo veramente molto la situazione cambia”. Sono le parole direttore di Malattie infettive dell’Ospedale Sacco di Milano, Massimo Galli, intervistato su SkyTg24. “Senza il pieno utilizzo di Astrazeneca – ha spiegato l’infettivologo – è come se avessimo uno sgabello che invece di tre gambe ne ha due o una corta”.
Rispetto alla prima e della seconda ondata, “ora c’è la possibilità di vaccinare molto, però bisogna riuscirci. Ci sono varie cose che non hanno funzionato, e sono state superate, e ce ne sono altre, che del tutto superate non lo sono” aggiunge Galli. Ad esempio, “senza il pieno utilizzo di AstraZeneca abbiamo uno sgabello che invece di 3 piedi ne ha 2”. Vaccinare con AstraZeneca solo gli over 60, “non è una grande idea perchè nel frattempo il danno di fiducia su AstraZeneca è stato fatto”.
Il professore sottolinea che “ancora non c’è una chiara relazione tra questi rarissimi fenomeni” di trombosi cerebrali e AstraZeneca, e “i dati inglesi sono diversi da quelli tedeschi”. Si tratta, aggiunge Galli, “di una frequenza estremamente bassa, inferiore al rischio di shock anafilattico se uno fa un’iniezione di penicillina. Se questo basta per ribaltare una campagna vaccinale in questo momento dove arriva tutto a rilento… questo mette in crisi AstraZeneca ma sicuramente anche tutto il resto”. Galli, infine, ribadisce che “tra Ema e i governi c’è stata una gara a chi faceva più Ponzio Pilato e più don Abbondio”.
