La 35enne Elena Colizzi, medico all’ospedale “Vito Fazzi” di Lecce, si era vaccinata col siero anti-coronavirus di Pfizer tra il sesto e il settimo mese di gravidanza (1° e 2° dose). La dottoressa aveva affrontato in prima linea l’arrivo della pandemia in un ospedale dell’Emilia Romagna. Per poi essere trasferita nel maggio 2020 nel capoluogo pugliese dove si è immunizzata contro il Covid aderendo alla campagna vaccinale per gli operatori sanitari della Asl leccese.
“È stata la speranza di proteggere me e mia figlia dal Covid a darmi la lucida razionalità di analizzare i benefici cui saremmo andate incontro sia io che la mia bambina grazie alla vaccinazione in gravidanza, in confronto ai possibili rischi”, ha affermato la neomamma, citata dal giornale online LeccePrima.
Il livello di anticorpi della neonata, misurato dal sangue cordonale, è alto ed è praticamente identico a quello della madre. Questa nella 33° e 36 settimana di gravidanza aveva ricevuto il vaccino Pfizer-BioNTech al distretto socio-sanitario di Maglie. “L’amore per la vita è il filo rosso di questa storia, in cui una giovane professionista ha scelto di prendersi cura degli altri in un momento drammatico quale quello della pandemia decidendo al tempo stesso di generare nuova vita. Il risultato del test del dosaggio anticorpale della bambina è una bellissima notizia e un messaggio di speranza per il futuro”, ha dichiarato il direttore generale dell’ospedale leccese Rodolfo Rollo.
