Bassetti parla dall’ospedale. Matteo Bassetti, infettivologo e direttore della Clinica Malattie Infettive dell’Ospedale San Martino (GE), Presidente della Società Italiana di Terapia Antinfettiva (SITA), torna a parlare di Covid.
Questa volta il professore si lascia andare ad un post sui suoi social in cui chiede a tutti di non creare inutili allarmismi. Secondo Bassetti la situazione resta da tenere attentamente sotto controllo ma non è affatto critica. Ecco le parole nel suo post su Facebook:
“Appena finito il giro con i miei collaboratori dei pazienti ricoverati con Covid nel reparto malattie infettive. I ricoveri crescono, ma per fortuna anche le dimissioni“.
“Rispetto ai giorni terribili della scorsa primavera, assistiamo a ricoveri mediamente più brevi, età media (67 anni oggi) leggermente più bassa, malattia più gestibile e letalità praticamente azzerata”.
“Abbiamo ancora qualche caso più complesso, ma questi rappresentano la minoranza. Abbiamo i farmaci, sappiamo come e quando usarli e siamo più sicuri di quello che facciamo”.
“Occorre quindi evitare di dare messaggi di terrore. La situazione è da tenere sotto stretta osservazione, ma è molto diversa rispetto a marzo e aprile“.
“Completamente diversa. Rassicuriamo gli italiani che il covid oggi è una malattia più gestibile e curabile nella maggior parte dei casi. Noi stiamo facendo del nostro meglio. Un grazie a tutto il gruppo del San Martino che lavora costantemente per garantire il massimo a tutti”.
“Ora più che mai occorre che tutti i cittadini facciano la loro parte rispettando le misure che conosciamo (D-M-L-V-E), ovvero distanziamento, mascherine, lavaggio mani, vaccinazioni e educazione e rispetto”.
