Mauro Romano è lo sceicco Al Habtoor? Si riapre a 43 anni dalla sua scomparsa il giallo del piccolo Mauro Romano. La madre, Bianca Colaianni, è convinta che si tratti dello sceicco Mohammed Al Habtoor, 52 anni, figlio del magnate Khalaf Al Habtoor, uno degli uomini più ricchi degli Emirati Arabi Uniti.
Mauro Romano è stato rapito a Racale, nel Salento, quando aveva 6 anni. Era il 21 giugno 1977. Oggi la madre è certa di aver riconosciuto il suo bambino nello sceicco Mohammed Al Habtoor. A riaccendere le speranza della donna due cicatrici.
Lo sceicco ha sempre rifiutato di sottoporsi all’esame del Dna ma i genitori di Mauro voleranno presto a Dubai per ottenere che l’esame venga eseguito tramite l’intercessione delle autorità consolari.
Gli inquirenti, garzie alla tenacia della famiglia Romano e del suo legale, dopo anni di depistaggi e omertà, hanno portato però al presunto sequestratore di Mauro Romano.
Si tratterebbe di un ex barbiere di 79 anni, per il quale il gip dovrà decidere il rinvio a giudizio: un amico di famiglia che Mauro chiamava “zio” e che il giorno della scomparsa, secondo la Procura, fece salire Mauro sul suo Apecar e lo condusse nella sua casa estiva per farlo giocare con il figlio.
Questo, sempre secondo l’accusa, in attesa di consegnarlo a due individui, a oggi rimasti sconosciuti, che lo prelevarono poi con la forza facendo sparire di lui ogni traccia.
